Mr. Kenneth Wong from the Department of Urban Planning and Design, Faculty of Architecture, the University of Hong Kong has won the Esri Young Scholars Award 2017 with his work titled “The Dirty of Loudness – Investigation on the traffic noise pollution to residents in Western District”.
Report on the Launching of Geo-mentorship Programme on GIS Day on 18 November 2015
The HKGISA will officially launch the Geo-Mentorship Programme on 18 Nov 2015 in Hong Kong to mark the occasion of the worldwide GIS Day 2015. The aims of the Programme are: to introduce the GIS technology to the teachers and students of the primary and secondary schools; to enlighten them with the concept of GIS and its power in processing enormous amount of geographic information, and its applications in their teaching, studies and extra-curriculum activities, particularly those relating to geography.
